Just what was required

After having a WeatherSleuth for 6 years a couple of months ago it stopped uploading data. It's not unusual for it to occasionally go offline but after all the rebooting etc that usually works, it still wouldn't upload. I knew the sensors were talking to the receiver but that wasn't doing its job. I looked at a replacement receiver, but the price made me hesitate to purchase just in case it wasn't the problem. The review here convinced me to take a punt, I wish I'd done it weeks ago. As noted below, the charging connector is too tight but gentle enlargement with a suitable sized stylus corrected that.

All works well - just a change to the charging cable - it was a very tight fit.

Expensive but discreet

This replaces a three-year-old WeatherRanger console which suddenly stopped uploading data. The Weathersleuth now does that job instead and was easy to install and set up. For what it is, it seems rather expensive but cheaper than a complete new weather station. Also, be aware that it is not supplied with a 5v psu (lose one star). Can't speak for reliability but hopefully it will last longer than the WeatherRanger.
