Comes with FREE 29 page Beginner's Guide ebook "Trouble-Free Wireless Weather Station Setup and Maintenance - The Definitive Guide"
The Aercus Instruments WeatherRanger is the new breed of weather station that combines sleek full colour TFT LCD technology with direct internet publishing, allowing data to be viewed from anywhere on any internet capable device (console connects directly to your WiFi capable modem so your PC or Mac does not need to remain on).
The menu based full colour multi-screen display includes high and low alarm conditions with audible alert, calibration of all major parameters, real-time internet weather publishing to Wunderground.com the world's largest and most popular weather station network, and encrypted WiFi transmission.
The WeatherRanger’s all-in-one external sensor suite tracks the full range of weather variables including UV Index and Light and its rapid 16 second update along with massive built in data logger (66m readings) places it at the head of the queue for all serious weather watchers.
The WeatherRanger is simple to install and is PC and Mac compatible. Data can be exported to an SD card (in CSV format) for transfer to PC or Mac for detailed analysis in Excel or specialist weather station applications such as Cumulus or Weather Display.
Installation kit included.

Easy to set up. The instructions are very comprehensive. Easy to get online as well, sending data to the Weather Underground. Not sure if it's possible to send to an alternative website. I haven't figured that out yet. The console seems to work well, providing a good range of different data, although feels a bit 'plasticky'. I would like the option to be able to customise it a bit more. The main interest in my location is the wind, so I would like to have that centre stage on the console with a graph, showing windspeed trend over the past 24 hours. Talking of wind, the anemometer again feels quite 'plasticky' and lightweight. We'll see how that lasts when the winter comes. A lot of anemometers get destroyed by the wind here. The anemometer on my David Vantage Pro got blown apart after about 8 years. I notice that Aercus has spare available at a reasonable price. The whole communication and upload side of things seems a lot more 21st century than Davis - which is why I went for Aercus

Greenfrog Scientific very responsive, with quick delivery. The comprehensive online guide gave lots of helpful background info about how best to locate and set up the weather station. Once we'd chosen the best site for it, everything worked 'out of the box' - just needed batteries and the pressure calibrating for our location (clear explanation how to do this). The online wunderground data link is clear and works well.
A high quality weather station at a very good price. Recommended.

Excellent Service. All worked first time I Bought this as a replacement for a Maplin unit which failed twice following Power Cuts. Lets wait and see If this has the same problem, at least Greenfrog Scientific allow you to buy a replacement display unit (By the way their display unit does work with the Maplin sensors)
Over all very pleased with Greenfrog Scientific and the product.

Purchased this product about 14 months ago. Worked really well and then the sensor unit stopped transmitting. Contacted greenfrog and they replaced it without any quibble. You couldn't ask for better service

Before ordering this product I had taken delivery of a rival product but could not link it to my home Wi-Fi. It could only be set up using a smartphone (in my case Android). After returning it the retailer said that the problem must be with my WiFi as it was fully functional. I actually wonder if the product was designed for iPhone and not well tested on Android.
Before ordering the Weather Ranger I looked at the extensive documentation online and liked the fact that Wi-Fi set up was by entering values on the base station - much lower risk than via a smartphone app. I also liked the extensive range of settings available.
The Weather Ranger worked out of the box and there were no issues setting up Wi-Fi and getting readings to Wunderground. It has been running reliably for 10 days and so far I think it is a great product.

I had been looking for a weather station with solar for a while and all were very expensive but this one isn't. Love the Wunderground display of my weather info I can access online or in app from anywhere. Data download needs a memory card but with all the data stored on console I haven't used it yet. Set up relatively easy once you get used to the console arrow buttons used to navigate the menus. Nevertheless a great bit of kit.

Only had it a week, but it was easy to set up - the wireless is good enough to reach from the barns at the back of the farm through thick walls of an old farmhouse. Setting up the Wunderground was straightforward, so was getting it on wifi, so it's all up and running quite easily. Time will tell if the sensors last and the device stays connected, but so far so good.
