  1. Used a washing line post 5 Star Review

Posted by on 16th Apr 2021

Very pleased with my purchase. Mounted it on disused washing line post after sawing off the rusty rope bars. Used 1.5V Kentli lithium cells to power the station and the display terminal. The cumulus data logging software works fine. Do like the ability of the terminal history button to display values going backwards during the day. This is my very first weather station of this type. Quite odd that no calibration tolerances are mentioned in the specs.

  2. New wearther station works a treat 5 Star Review

Posted by on 3rd Nov 2020

After our previous weather station failed to send data from some of its' sensors a new one was needed as spare parts for that model were no longer available. I searched the internet and I found the WS3085 which uses a base station identical to the previous model except for the transmission frequency so it was going to be familiar to me. The sensors were an improvement over the previous model being of a more rugged construction and with all connections protected from the elements and therefore hopefully more reliable. The WS3085 was very easy to install and has worked as expected and hopefully will for a long time to come. It is such a relief to have a working weather station again as it plays a big part in my life planning outdoor activities
